Hidden Beachfront

I would love to have a place like this. White sand with pristine waters abundant with marine life.

This beachfront is a hidden wonder because only the few residents of the area get to enjoy this lovely place and it is also quite a trek to get there.

Scavenger on the Shore

I really don't like see children in this situation. They should either be playing or in school. But this is the reality of our world. Some children must help their parents get through the day.

This was unexpected for me because I photographed this in a very far away area from the center of town. I was used to seeing people in this place earn their living through planting or fishing. Most of them don't have jobs but they get through the day by helping themselves with the bounty of nature. I am used to seeing sights like this in cities but not in where I found her to be. We brought goodies for the children and I offered her one. She accepted but shyly accepted it. I just hope that it brought a smile to her face.

Gone Fishing

With the abundance of fish in the area, these boys don't have to go far at sea just to catch fish. And what a tandem they make, back-to-back.

Early Morning Delight

The site would make your day.

Wouldn't you love to see a view of the sea such as this in the early morning?

I had the privilege of witnessing this wonder of nature when I had the chance to visit a far-flung "barangay" during an expedition last week. You don't see something like this when you're living in the city. One must leave the comfort of home and have an adventure with nature. We see things as Nature intended it to be and not as man wants it to be.

A perfect place to be left alone for future generations to enjoy.

Viper in the Midst

Can you see it?

When I first encountered this snake, I didn't immediately recognize it. I kept moving forward to see where it is and my companion stopped me because I was getting close to it without me seeing it. It was camouflaged as nature intended it to be to hide from predators.

Also, it is in my nature to stay as far from it because I'm afraid of snakes.

This what's good when you're in the jungle, you encounter many things that surprises you but nonetheless amaze you.

That's Amore

Two such as you with such a master speed cannot be parted nor be swept away from one another once you are agreed that life is only life forevermore together wing to wing and oar to oar.

Flyfish

Wanna know how it feels to be flying in a kite? Well, now you have your chance. Flyfish is one of the water activities offered in a beach resort aside from the usual banana boat and jet ski. I would love to try this one next time I come back. It's so exhilarating and dangerous. Such an adrenaline-rush.

Green Plant

Would you believe that this green plant is growing in a wooden table?

I wads amazed to find this plant growing in the table of our rented space in a beach resort. I have seen flowers grow in the bark of a tree like the orchids. This plant remained untouched despite the fast that the area was often crowded and many things are usually placed in the tables.

Maybe this plant was meant to survive despite the odds stacked against it. Who knows?

Nice Packaging

I like the packaging of these cookies. They're so well crafted that you won't through away the packaging after eating its contents.

The Ice Cream Man

"I scream. You scream. We all scream, ice cream."

This is our local ice cream man. Delivering to the children and the children-at-heart the "flavors of the road". Best eaten during the summer heat.

The Phoenix Within

Although covered in the ash of comfort and resignation, we privately believe that a Phoenix lurks within us that will sooner or later break out to shine. Experience, of course, shows us that rarely does anything rise from the ash but an ash-covered chicken. If something genuinely fiery does emerge, it is never the result of waiting, but of 20 or 30 years of effort, of resolute toil and exhausting will. "Supernatural" strength and performance are archived by very natural ways and means.

Doing the Things When It Ought to be Done

Perhaps the most valuable result of all education is the ability to make yourself do the thing you have to do, when it ought to be done, whether you like it or not. It is the first lesson that ought to be learned, and however early a man's training begins, it is probably the last lesson that he learns thoroughly.

A Girl and Her Mouse

Once upon a time in an office far, far away, there worked a Shy Girl and her Yellow Mouse...
