Carmel of St. Teresa of Jesus

The Carmel of St. Teresa of Jesus is located at Sitio Tua-tua, Barangay Matiao, Mati, Davao Oriental. This quiet and tranquil place is the home of the wonderful Discalced Carmelite Nuns. Outside the church you can find a Rosary Garden, which can be accessed through a hanging bridge for prayer and meditation or simply just to admire the craftsmanship of the statues depicting the Stations of the Cross.

When you get to visit the town of Mati, have time to visit this church and maybe offer a prayer or two. You won't regret it.
