Target: Canon EOS 500D

I hope I can buy this camera by the first quarter of 2010, a Canon EOS 500D.

My current camera is a point & shoot Canon PowerShot A650 IS. This camera has been great to me for the past two years but, now, I want to venture into DSLR cameras to improve my photographic skills. As a beginner, the Canon EOS 500D would be suitable for my needs.
