I took a snapshot of a man riding, and holding on for dear life, at the back of the van somewhere in the province of Lanao del Norte. We were all surprised upon witnessing his mode of transportation. The passengers in our van concluded that he must be the driver's assistant. Usually the driver's assistant, or "kondoktor" as it is locally called, sits near the sliding door of a van. We were frightened for him because the speed of which we were traveling at that point is above 40 km/h and the nearest towns have a travel time of about 2 hours. What amazing strength, patience and body control this man is exhibiting .

I wouldn't even dare riding like that without any safety precautions. Too many risks come up when you're in that situation.

Roller coasters are nothing to this guy.
