As They Descend, The People Await

Take a look at the reaction the people waiting below.
They are focused on one single objective.

In A Rush

Oh, what a busy week this has been.
Always on a rush and ready to go.
The week's fully booked.
So many thinks to do with so little time.
Hoping that I could catch up with the thing
that I would rather do.
I hope I wasn't too obvious.

What am I?

If I am not for myself,
who will be?
But if I am only for myself,
What am I?

Paving the Way

I feel pity for some of these individuals. They do a hard days labor and some unscrupulous individuals take a cut on these laborers meager pay without even breaking a sweat.

The Direction We Are Moving

I find the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand as in what direction we are moving. To reach the port of heaven, must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it - but we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor.

Branches

These branches could somehow explain the the journey of life. At first, we grow straight up because we have but a single to achieve but along the way we find new interesting things and we branch out to these. Some of these interests may grow as a steady branch that will form a part of our life. Also will just wither and fall of because we lose interest in them. The tree continues to grow as high as it should be but some of them will not reach their full potential because they strayed away from the goal and linger along the branches and forget the trunk. Like the tree pictured above, it grew to many branches that it didn't reach it's full height.

Another possibility of the not reaching its full height maybe because the goal that it wanted to reach was shattered by some event. Broken off by something that it has no control of. Since it wanted to live on, it grew other branches on top of the shattered part. To find another height to reach. Only a few times does the new branch be as strong as the trunk but somehow it has to do so in order to live. Remaining stagnant in life because of some unfortunate event leads to a slow death of the heart and soul. Gradually refusing to live out the remainder of its life. But this shouldn't be the case, we must live on and find another dream to fulfill.

Sometimes, it is too painful to go on once our dream is shattered because the pain lingers on. The goal is right there in front of us, yet we can't reach it. We can only give a smile as it passes by and shed a tear as it moves on. Knowing that our best is not good enough to reach it while others simple actions won them over handily. Such is the way of the heart. It only follows what it feels. Such is the simplicity and complexity of the heart.

Please be patient with this soliloquy of mine. These are just rambling of my heart.

My foolish heart.

It'd Be Worth It

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the people who don't. Believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, then let it. Nobody said it'd be easy, they just promised that it'd be worth it.

A Child's Laugh

A Child's Laugh

So innocent, so carefree
dancing around all who hear
Sparkling, glittering is a child's laugh
unacquainted with pain
I hope we do not take that laugh away
a giggle here, a shout of joy there
by burdening life's most precious gifts
with the world's pain

Flower Series - A Star Inside

Due to it's minute size, seldom could we see the intricate design or shape a flower such as the star shaped interior of this flower. Only when it's photographed up close or just magnified can we appreciate how beautifully created this simple, little flower that we glance upon as we pass by. Such is the beauty of God's creations that it's wonder, sometimes, cannot be seen from just a glance. So next time you see a flower, take time to examine it's splendor.

Flower Series - Freshly Drizzled

One of my mother's flower collection. It has a wonderful combination of the colors violet, yellow and white. Freshly photographed after a slight drizzle.

Flower Series - Pushing Daisy

I love flowers, just don't know how to plant them or how to make them grow. Maybe I don't have that "green thumb" thing that some were taking about. Since I had a conversation with a friend last week, who genuinely loves flowers and has that "green thumb", I was encouraged to take more pictures of flowers. To examine their beauty from up close and see their intricate designs from a larger perspective because usually they are small and can't see the minute details and colors that the possess.

Let the World Go By

I think sometimes we need to just sit down and do nothing. In a world were busy people are the ability measure is based on how busy the person gets, we need to recollect our thoughts and ponder if we have done the right things today or of any other day. Although it is widely considered especially in workplaces that just sitting around is a sign of laziness, we should ar least get a few minutes of out time and just relax our mind to prepare for the grueling work ahead. Just like our body, the mind should relax too.

Wherever You Go, There You Are

Guess what? When it comes down to it, wherever you go, there you are.
Whatever you wind up doing, that’s what you’ve wound up doing.
Whatever you are thinking, that’s what’s on your mind.
Whatever has happened to you, it has already happened.
The important question is, how are you going to handle it?
In other words, Now what?

Liwasang Rajah Sulayman & Malate Church

This was taken last week when I went to Manila and I was tasked to photograph something to replicate in my place. After that, I took the liberty of taking some shots of the park and the Spanish-era Church of Malate. I love taking photographs of old architectures such as the Church of Malate. There great contrast the the photo because the statue Rajah Sulayman represents the Muslim leader who first fought the Spaniards in Manila while the Malate Church, a catholic contibution during the Spanish-era. While both structures portray different beliefs, they blend well together to create a wonderful atmosphere where people can relax and enjoy these great designs.

I wish that we all would all just co-exist harmoniously like these two designs here.

Let us live in peace.
